What are the best things to do if you rent a car in Maui?

Definitely rent a car!!!

 

We used ours to drive to Lahaina AND do the Road to Hana...both experiences were great.

Drive to the top of Haleakula. You don't have to go at sunrise unless you really want to. Beautiful scenery on the drive up and down as well as at the top.

Could you give us more specifics about what might interest you, as well as activity levels, etc.? There is so much to do on Maui that it would take pages to list all the things you could do if you have a rental car. It's impossible (for me) to answer such a broad question. Please help us narrow it down a bit.
