Sorry I'm a newbie and don't know anything. Thanks for the help There are no defined smoking rooms. Ask the steward for an ashtray. Smoking will be permitted on the open deck areas of one side of the ship. This applies to cigarretes only. Smoking is permitted in some lounges. The casino is usually a smoking area although some ships are having a smoke free night(s) in casinos. Charlie
cb at sea Posted June 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2007 Some of the bars have smoking areas. The rest of the interior (except for cabins) is non-=smoking. One entire side of the ship is designated for smokers, so running outside isn't hard to do. If you have an inside cabin, you may want to take the smoking outside as well, since the cabins are so tiny, one cigarette will really stink it up! Cotton Posted June 29, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2007 Sorry should have put this in a different topic. Why? However, you may want to come over to the Carnival board for more replies specific to Carnival: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=215&page=1&sort=lastpost&order=&pp=25&daysprune=-1 I have never had a balcony cabin, and I smoke in my cabin. I do take a can of air fresh so it won't bother the steward so much though.:) I've never found it difficult being a smoker on a ship...most of the lounges allow it, and one side of the ship - you'll see the ashtrays. (I believe the casino non-smoking deal was a one time experiment.) No smoking in any food venue, which is a good thing, I think. Also no smoking in the main showlounge, and certainly not in elevators or interior hallways. Your wife will not have a problem lighting up. (I also take my own small plastic patio ashtray...because the ones the cabin steward brings are the glass ones that the cigs can roll off of.)
