Nassau - Swimming with dolphins

Recommended Posts

We’ll be on the Navigator on 12/18/04 and thinking about taking kids to swim with dolphins. RCI offers only Close Encounter but no the swimming program.

I have couple questions:

1. Since we’ll stop in Nassau from 1pm – 7pm . Do you think will have enough time?

2. Did you find the program enjoyable – worse $165 p/p?

3. We have 2 kids – 8 and 14 y.o. I understand that my 8 y.o. “must be accompanied by a participating paying adult”. Is it necessary? My 14 yo can take care of her little sister. Besides we’ll be at the observer deck. We can always say that our 14 yo is 18. ;) She looks older and we can use it at least once to our advantage. :)

Thanks!

We did the Dolphin Swim in Nassau three years ago. We really enjoyed it. I don't know about the accompanying adult issue. That seems like a new rule. We did the swim in the morning. It seems like 1-7 ought to be enough time. You should book the dolphin swim now so you have get the afternoon time that you want. As I recall, even though we booked the swim directly with the company, we had to buy tickets from RCL for the boat ride over to the island and back. You'll want to check on that.

The dolphin swim is great fun. We've done it in Cozumel and in Nassau and thought the Nassau one was better -- more entertaining with the dolphins doing more and performing more.

For children, I think it's a particularly great experience. As for whether it's worth $165, we felt it was. However, we've done it now and don't plan to do it again.
