Hump cabin?

Sorry for the dumb question, but what is a hump cabin?

looking at deck plans for ROyal Caribbean--

 

the hump cabins are the cabins in the area the jut out of the sides of the ship

If you are in the center of the hump you can see both forward and aft. You are in a central location near both the elevator and the stairs. Depending on which deck you were on will determine the size of the cabin.

Now I know why the hump cabins are attractive, being able to look aft and forward is a definite advantage. Just wonder if you hear lots of noise from the elevators or gaggles of people on the stairs, etc.

Our last cruise in April of this year we were one room from the start of the hump. We were next to the stairs and elevators and we really did not notice any unpleasant crowd noise or hear elevators. we would have absolutly no problem with a hump room. Some are D1 catagory. Nice size.
