scamper Posted July 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Does anyone know what happened to those occasional "cruises to (basically) nowhere" that one of the triplets would do? I thought they were quite popular.
Iamboatman Posted July 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2007 They were eliminated and there is affirmatively no plan on bringing them back. Being from New Jersey I loved them as a quick Seabourn "fix".
CruisinMatt Posted July 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2007 I was never able to try one of the short cruises from NYC, I have heard tales of pomp and pageantry from those that frequented them. Who knows, maybe they will make a comback after the new ships arrive?
B-2-Bs Best! Posted July 8, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2007 The very significant increase in NYC pier costs have made those short voyages prohibitive; that's also the reason that the Pride now returns from Europe to Massachusetts, and, why Cunard has now made Brooklyn their home base.
