Would appreciate info on where the cruise ships dock/tender to in New Port, RI. Have some friends that want to meet us the day we will be there on HAL.

The tender dock is directly on the waterfront as far as I can see. Newport is not a large town so it should be easy for your friends to find the tender dock. You could also post this question on the HAL board.

We enjoyed our day in Newport a few years ago. It's a quaint little town with lots of history. Loved touring the Victorian Mansions on Bellevue Avenue as well as the cliff walk.

The ship anchors in the bay just west of goat island. The tender will let you off at the docks on america cup ave. You can either walk east across america cup ave to thames st or walk south. Please be careful crossing the streets in newport cause the cars will not stop for you. Enjoy your visit to newport.
