Spirit 7/29 - Best time to get to pier

I tried posting this question in a related thread, but it got lost in the shuffle.

We're taking the 7/29 Spirit and are trying to plan our arrival time so that we are one of the first to board, but don't have to wait too long. I just found the itinerary for the 8-night 7/21 departure of the Spirit. Not due in NY until 10:00am on the 29th. So, what time do you think they'll let us board and what time should we arrive to avoid crowds if we want to be on the ship early?

Have heard as early as 11 and as late as 1 - totally depends on the circumstances that day. Will be with you on the 29th - have a car picking us up at 10am, only 30 minutes away. Good luck!

We'll probably see you in line!

We arrived at the pier at 11 am. The beauty of early arrival is that if you are new cruisers like we were, registration is a breeze and then you're called on to the ship first according to the row you're seated in.

Therefore, if you arrive early, you'll be seated up front. There is some wait involved, but in the end, you get to spend most of your later wait time on the ship while others are still registering down at the pier. :D

Have a wonderful cruise!!! ;)
