amseco Posted July 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2007 Are there any perks? For example, $39 for kids crew back pack from the whole 15 days. Anything else? And, does anyone have NCL Secrets from the NCL Spirit? I'm going tomm. Thanks.
cmptrwiz Posted July 14, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2007 Yes, they don't make you get off the ship as quick with a shorter cruise! In my book that is the most important perk. wiz

EileenN Posted July 14, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2007 It also eliminates the need to cry on the evening of the 6th day unless you had a difficult night at the casino. It ensures the ability to gain a few more memorable pounds, destroy an additional part of your liver. However, it will cost more for your soda card. davejohn Posted July 15, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 15, 2007 When I was working, 7 days always seemed too short. I wasn't ready to go home yet. 10 days was just about right, I was still having fun but ready to go home. Now that I'm retired, no cruise is too long.....:D Dave

caneable Posted July 17, 2007 #10 Share Posted July 17, 2007 Beware back to back cruises! We did our first cruise with NCL Spirit two years ago in the Caribbean. It split 9 and 5 day. The first bit was great but on the 5 day segment a radio station out of Chicago(I think) had given away loads of places and the spirit of the Spirit just washed away. Many parents were complaining about the nature of language, public areas were just taken over, the music blared through the ship wherever you were and, as you can probably, guess I could go on! I suppose it was just our bad luck and anyway we weren't on the ship all the time. However, it might be interesting to find out if this "and the lucky winner is" policy exists on other ships/lines. Certainly, if you've booked the cruise for a special or once in a lifetime, such an experience could be a real downer.
