If we do not have Princess transfers, or a pre-cruise hotel package, and we make our own way to the dock, do we carry our luggage to our stateroom when we board, or do we check it in?

We cruised out of Vancouver in 2005 and will be doing so again next Monday. You check your luggage in at the pier. There are handlers that take it from you. Be sure to place your Princess luggage tags on the luggage. You should get these in your pre-cruise packet (right after final payment). You can take your carry-on small bags with you (containing your valuables, medications, etc.). The luggage you check-in will be delivered to your cabin late afternoon to early evening.
