oshkosh1 Posted July 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2007 I was looking at the shore excursions for our cruise in March, and was looking to reserve one until the payment screen came up. When do they charge your credit card for shore excusions? Can you cancel your reservation, and if so, how close to your cruise can you cancel? I was hoping to use OBC's to pay for our shore excursions. Can we do this and reserve the excursions in advance? Any help is greatly appreciated! fishing fool Posted July 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2007 From my experience you get charged right away and yes you can cancel them up to 24 hours before, and if you make the effort to give a good reason to the tour or purser's desk, the actual day of the tour. Bell Ringer Posted July 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2007 I look at it in two different ways. If I book and excursion early, I am guaranteed to get it, as well as the time that I desire. And by the time we are on the ship, I will have forgotten how much I already spent! If you don't plan as early as many of us do, you can wait till you get on the ship, and as soon as the excursion desk opens, be in line with the list of excursions you want to purchase. They hold back a certain percentage to be sold on the ship. That way, you can use your OBC to pay for them. I might also add that if you don't spend all of your OBC, you can ask for a refund on the last day- don't wait till the final morning to do that.
