cal101 Posted July 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2007 Has anyone done the Molokini Snorkle cruise on Prince Kuhio, either thru their website or with Roberts Tours? It is less expensive with Roberts and includes transportation from the cruise ship pier, but appears to be the same trip. We are interested in this excursion and would appreciate any information or opinions you may have.
beachchick Posted July 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2007 We have not been on it. What we've heard is that it's a good boat with good features, but I remember hearing that its anchoring spot is not in a particularly good location at Molokini. (I cannot vouch for that information though because, obviously, I don't have first-hand knowledge of it. This is just what I've "heard" from a couple of sources.) If the Robert's excursion is less expensive and includes transportation to Ma'alaea (about a $30 taxi ride one-way), then that's probably your best bet. (This assumes that you're not renting a car.) beachchick
TBE Posted July 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2007 Roberts Hawaii has a Molokini Snorkel & Makena/Wailea Snorkel for $79. (NCL is $96) (http://www.gorabbitgo.com/snorkel.php) The Snorkel is on the Prince Kuhio (http://www.mvprince.com) The surprise is that this same tour is $91 though the Prince Kuhio web site without transportation. (http://www.mvprince.com/tripsMolokini.htm) With Gorabbitgo it includes transportation for less at only $79.00.
