lkmamom Posted July 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2007 :o You are all so helpful, I hope that you do not mind another question. We would love to visit the Mansions and cliff walk but, since our son lives and breathes tennis 24/7, the Tennis Hall of Fame is a must too. What would you recommend the transportation be? Woud we be able to see the Tennis Hall of Fame and then take the bus to the cliff walk or vice wersa? What would be the easiest way to see all of this?? Thanks for your help! SailBadtheSinner Posted July 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2007 ….. Woud we be able to see the Tennis Hall of Fame and then take the bus to the cliff walk or vice wersa….. Use the local bus #67 - Bellevue/Salve Regina Univ. Outbound/Inbound. You would pick it up at Newport Gateway Center which is one block north from where you will disembark from the tender. The Tennis Hall of Fame (THF) is on that route near to Salve Regina Univ. and the Breakers. The bus runs about every 20 minutes, outbound and in. Here is the Outbound schedule: http://www.ripta.com/schedules/view.php?route=67&direction=2 & the Inbound: http://www.ripta.com/schedules/view.php?route=67&direction=1 When you exit the THF, take a right and walk to Memorial Blvd (RI-138A) and take a right. Follow 138A to the start of Cliff Walk. Total distance to CW, about .7 -.8 miles. Once you’ve finished CW, walk to Bellevue Ave and try to get an inbound bus #67; or you could walk back to the tender dock, depending on how much time you have and how young your legs are.:D Here’s a link for CW info: http://www.cliffwalk.com/ The buses are exact change. lkmamom Posted July 22, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted July 22, 2007 Sinbad, :) thanks so much for the help. I was hoping this would be a win win situation, I really want to see the Breakers and DS really wants to see THF. Bless you! Linda
