Renting an Oxygen Concentrator

Recommended Posts

We are sailing in Jan on an 8 day RCI cruise. I'm on oxygen 24/7 and this will be my third cruise since going on oxygen. I've used my Airsep travel concentrator exclusively in the past but this time I would like to possibly rent a concentrator for the cabin.

I will be contacting vendors but if the price is very high we may have to rethink this.

When we go to Las Vegas, I rent tanks and a concentrator. The price for the concentrator is normally $150 for 6 days but they give me a deal and only charge me $75. I know I'm looking at a lot more for a cruise.

Can anyone tell me a ballpark figure of what the cost would be?

Thanks

Toni

DH uses oxygen and he had a concentrator (new super quite model) and liquid oxygen in the cabin. It was supplied by CareVacations (the only vendor HAL allowed at the time --12/06). The cost was $635, but that was covered by our secondary insurance since, in the eyes of Medicare, you have left the US and are in a foreign country when you step aboard a foreign flagged ship. Hope this helps. Sue
