music lady Posted July 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2007 I heard about US Direct. Shipping your luggage to and from the ship. Does anyone have any recent experience on it? Is there a web site? Cost? Thanks, Mary
FatBaldOldMan Posted July 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2007 I heard about US Direct. Shipping your luggage to and from the ship. Does anyone have any recent experience on it? Is there a web site? Cost? Thanks, Mary We did an Alaska cruise through RCL in May and the US Direct WAS GREAT!!! Web Site - I don't know. Cost - included in the ship's transfers. CAVEAT - In order to participate, you must be arriving directly from the US. Example: Let’s assume that you trip originates on the East Coast (Baltimore, MD), and that you’re sailing on your cruise from Vancouver, BC to Alaska. Your flight into Vancouver must be from the US directly. If you fly from Baltimore to Chicago, IL and then to Vancouver, BC, you can participate in US Direct. However, if you fly from Baltimore, then to Toronto, ON first and then on to Vancouver, BC, you CANNOT participate in US Direct because you’ve already processed through Canadian customs/immigration. Hope this helps.

music lady Posted July 23, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted July 23, 2007 Thanks for the info. I didn't know it was just for an Alaska cruise. My sister and I are cruising from Barcelona and it sounded good. Mary
