Got a discount?

My cruise fare was $2097, our insurance was $279 and our gratuities are $240. We made deposit with $1,279.00 in January. I went to day to make final payment today and my TA (or rather a fill-in) called Carnival. He was told I owed $1,303.36. This is $33.64 less than I expected. Why would I have gotten such a weird discount? Cant figure it out. Waiting for my real TA to get me details.

2097.00 + 279.00 + 240.00 = 2616.00

2616.00 - 1279.00 = 1337.00

1337.00 - 1303.36 = 33.64 ????

Anyone get a discount for paying via credit card or anything like that?

There was probably a price reduction. I've gotten hundreds of dollars off by watching the fairs between booking and departing. If the fair drops Carnival will give you money off or OBC. A TA is something else, some won't give you the price drop, they keep it.
