Can anyone give me recommendations for B&B's close to Harwich? If so, would you please include approximately how far it is from the port? Any information you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!

Go into www.tripadvisor.com and they'll give you info on the 4 hotels recommended in Harwich. We just booked 1 night at the The Pier Hotel for our Baltic Cruise next June.

We are staying here next week- it's a pub with excellent food and 5 rooms- about 15 minutes to Harwich

Highly recommend Mistley Thorn- just 10 minutes to Harwich and awesome views of river Stour, lovely large rooms and bathrooms and wonderful food. We stayed two nights and visited Colchester and Constable country on the inbetween day. I think we put on a few pounds even before the cruise started. The three Americans in our group loved it all.
