Are the Elevators in the Aft of The Summit for Passengers or

Just for Crew???????

I'm traveling with my Mom, who is a Senior and I'm trying to

decide on Cabin #7147 (close to Mid Ship Elevators or

Cabin #7178 ( close to Aft Elevators).

There will be 3 of Us.

Cabin #7178 has a Bigger Balcony, at least it looks Bigger!!!!!

Thanks, This will be Our 1st Celebrity Cruise.

Aft are for passengers. There are three sets of elevators on M Class and C class for passengers. I also believe all the elevators and stairs that are shown on the deck plans in the brochures and web site are for passengers. There are others in crew area that are not on these plans.

Hi Donna !

The Aft Elevators are definitely for passengers. Cabin 7178 is a good choice. It is near the Aft Elevators, and the balcony is slightly larger than the standard balcony. However, 7147 may be a slightly better choice, as it is more mid-ship, and may work better for you if it is hard for your Mom to walk around. Either way, you wont go wrong !

Enjoy your Cruise !

One of the great things about the AFT elevators is that they are right there at the main dining room. We had 7176 on Infinity and found that to be excellent. Get on the elevator, or walk down the steps to the Trellis dining room.

Also, you'll love the extra large verandah. It is almost double the standard size and if you ask, your cabin attendant will bring a couple of extra lounge chairs. They will fit.

Happy cruising to all!

Hi DJHere-

We just returned from the Constellation and were in 7178. It was a great cabin for location - near the elevator/stair lobby but one or two doors down from it so we didn't hear people in that area. It was two flights down to the dining room and three flights up to the cafe and pool area. The balcony is larger but not anything like the "sweet 16" on deck 6 or the fantastic aft facing cc's. Note that you can not see directly down from your cabin due to the awing covering the suite verandahs on deck 6 but you can get great views looking directly out from your balcony.

We have been in cabins on Celebrity ships by the elevators and have never heard a sound. Most Celebrity cruisers are considerate and there doesn't seem to be a lot of noise anywhere on the ship.

Thank You for responding to my question re the Aft Elevators.

We decided to cruise in Cabin #7178, which is a 2B.

We started in a Inside Cabin and with the Price Drops and the

Senior Rates, We are Excited to have a Balcony.

If I can keep a secret, I'm going to Surprise my Mom til we enter

the Cabin.

Thanks,

Donna & Carrie
