It is my CRAZY friends B-day on day one of our cruise. Any suggestions on what/how/if I can decorate the room/door? I want it to be insane as she loves to be the center of attention, but I don't want it to be tacky like a dorm room. Anyhow, we are in the Penthouse Suite, all out splurged!. I'd like it to be on the funny side...Any ideas????

I'm not sure about decorating the room, but I LOVED the customized pink t-shirts on another thread (regarding shirts made for trips). All of the shirts said "guess who's turning 30" on the front, and each said "She is" on the back, except for the girl who was turning 30, as her's said "I am"! (Not trying to take credit for their idea or anything like that - just suggesting you try something similar as your friend loves to be the center of attention). Not sure if your group is all girls or what, but you could go the girly-route... hang cute boas and mardi gras beads around the room (would not leave any damage that tape, etc. might leave behind). You and your friends could then wear them out to celebrate.

Ok, maybe that's cheesy.. I'm not very creative. Sorry!

  • 7 months later...

Talk to your dining room waiter and arrange for him to serve her a desert plate with a covered lid. On the plate he writes "Happy Birthday" in decorator gel. When he takes off the lid, everyone sings Happy Birthday to her.
