Valletta Malta

Hello folks:

Has anyone used the sigtseeing buses in Malta??? I notice they go past many of sights offered by some of the tour operators. Any insights appreciated--pro or con

Last fall we hired a taxi through the hotel for a half day of visiting sites in Valletta. The cost was only 50 Euros and included a trip to the airport. Our driver, with a new Mercedes, drove us to the sites and returned at a specified time. This was a very efficient way to get to places which would have required significant walking up and down hill.
