saric09 Posted July 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2007 Hello, I need your help ! What is the cheapest way to go from New Jersey (Hotel Holiday Inn Hasbrouck Heights) to the cruise terminal in Brooklyn? Is it better to drive by cap or car service? anyone know`s the fares? Is there maybe a bus line from New Jersey to Brooklyn? Another way is to go by bus to manhattan and then with the subway to Brooklyn, but I think that this is uncomfortable with the luggage. Thanks for an answer saric09
smeyer418 Posted July 31, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2007 The cheapest way is have a relative drive you. There are no buses directly to Brooklyn from this area except if you go to the EWR first than I believe the airport bus does have a Brooklyn stop not far(not within walking distance) to the pier, Have a car service met you at the stop or take a yellow cab. Try asking the Hotel the name of a local car service(which may also be called the local cab service) and see what they charge. If you take a bus to Manhattan take a cab to the terminal. Make sure the bus service is going to the Port Authority bus terminal at 40th street and 8th ave. The cab from there should be about $25-30. Make sure you have the directions because many cabs have still not been to Brooklyn. (its the west side to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel take the Hamilton Avenue exit Make an immediate two lefts careful not to get back on the tunnel and follow the signs)..... ps the difference between a yellow cab and a car service inside NYC(and Brooklyn is in NYC) is that a yellow cab can pick up street hails and a car service must be summoned by phone either by prearrangement or at the time of the telephone call). Outside NY City the term is more interchangeable.
