I think it would be very interesting to find something that doesn't have the same latitude as my home! Hopefully, you're familiar with: http://www.geocaching.com/. Really good at finding sites/caches/events. There is another that is dedicated to geocache cruiseing. It isn't very detailed but it will give you an idea of the number of caches available at your ports.
