Trivia Contests

What is the format of the trivia contests nowadays? Back on my first cruise (Fascination '00) it was Jeporady-style with podiums and electronic scoring. On my last cruise (Triumph '05) it was pen-and-paper.

We went to several of the trivia games this past February - all paper and pencil. We even won a 24-karat gold plated plastic piece of ship on a stick!:D

Pencil and paper on the Triumph. They were giving out ships on a stick and bottles of champagne for the winners and runner ups. The ships on a stick are nicer than the champagne.....in my opinion. ;)

Both on the Pride this summer. One game show type where people had to be invited up and the rest were pencil and paper.

We've done trivia by podium and on pen and paper on the same cruise in the main lounge. If it was considered more of a "main event" it was by podium...if it was just something to entertain those who didn't want to be doing what else they had planned then it was pen and paper. Sometimes it's in the main lounge and sometimes it took place on the Promenade deck. When on the Promenade deck it was always pen and paper.
