Rum Tasting

I've been reading up on a lot of things on this board for a long time, and I figured out a question I'd like to ask for my first post.

 

Are there any rum tasting excursions in Grand Cayman?

While I hesitate to say so absolutely, I seriously doubt it.

 

There are no distilleries in Cayman. In my experience, rum tastings tend to be more prominent in places with a history of rum production.

There are lots of places in GC to taste rum. You just have to pay for it. Sorry, I agree I don't think they produce it so no factory to tour. I know of tours in San Juan, Bridgetown.:) :D :) :D

It was formerly called the Stingray Brewery, but under new ownership it is now The Cayman Islands Brewery.

 

The brewery is on Shamrock Road, a bit east of George Town. It is about a 10 minute taxi ride from the port.

There is also the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory that also has flavored rum and rum cakes that you can sample. Very tasty!

Thanks for the great suggestions, I'll see which one works best for us.

 

If anything, 7 mile beach is always a good choice!
