jimlssi Posted August 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2007 Thinking about booking a Deck 5-A2 guarantee, but could end up with one of the 4 suites of that class in the bow. What is the noise factor from the anchor chain (or anything else), and pitch motion that far forward? We like Deck 5 and normally book a nonbalcony suite midships on that deck, but are considering rolling the dice for an upgrade. We are booking the August 23, 2008 Black Sea 3 week Grand Voyage, Istanbul to Venice and are repeat cruisers, if that makes any difference. Thanks for your input. Martita B. Posted August 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2007 Jim I've never stayed in the bow aft suites but I have read/heard the anchor noise is pretty loud~~and the motion would certainly be felt. (and anchor noise early in the mornings) I would book Deck 5 midship to be assured a pleasant voyage~~a great suite location is: around #'s 235, 233, 231. This far in advance I'm sure you could obtain one of these suites. Happy Sailing! Martita B.
