Anyone know of good beaches with snorkeling??

Im traveling to GC with 3 teens:confused: After 2 busy days of excursions, Id like to find a nice beach on GC that has good snorkeling...or is most of the snorkeling offshore?? p.s. we will all have our own gear... thanks for any info.. J

For about $6 ea take the mini-bus to Sea Grape Beach, walk up the beach about 100 yds and there is some decent snorkeling close to shore.

If you don't need vendors and crowds, there's always Cemetary Reef/Beach. <LINK>

I did some research on Cemetary beach... this sounds really good.. thanks for the link.. im just concerned the kids will get bored.. is it very far to walk to one of the hotels down the beach toward the ship??

What we plan to do is take a cab to cemetary and snorkel for an hour or so, then catch a cab down to one of the publice beaches on 7 mile. I think it is quite a walk from Cemetary down to the public beaches.

But since cemetary is supposed to have good snorkeling, we want to go there for a while first and then settle in for the rest of the day at one of the public beaches.
