What Exactly Is The Floating Market?

Have read alot of posts where they mention the floating market? What is it and do u have to be on a boat to see it? Am going in 2009 and trying to "plan" way ahead:) Thanks

The floating market is fisherman selling their fish from their boats. It is maybe a block or two long. (It has been a long time since I have seen it)

The trolley train excursion took you past it, at least it did when I took the tour.

It is in the main part of town- right on the water. The boats are docked and you can shop for fresh food. I am not sure I would buy anything..... freshness wise it looked a little scary!

It was a very interesting stroll....boats tie up right on the sidewalk, and sell what they caught. They also seemed to have some fresh produce and other items for sale. They have a small outdoor market area set up in front of the boats (across the street) that sells handcrafted items (a lot of Bob Marley type wood pieces). We enjoyed strolling around seeing the market. It is across the floating bridge and to the left if you are coming from the ship.
