fireworks from cruise ship in vancouver

Vancouver hosts the fireworks competition every summer, when the ship leaves vancouver do they sit out aways and let the passengers watch the frei works display

 

we are thinking of one day taking a alaska crusie we livein vancouver and see them from the beach in the down town area

I just returned from my cruise on Carnival. We left out of Vancouver..late..we were supposed to leave at 5:30, but didn't leave until 8:30. We were hoping that we'd be able to see the fireworks, but the ship left too quickly for us to see anything.

awww ok thanks

wondered as last night sitting onthe beach we saw 2 or 3 cruise ships go by

 

then they went out of our sight so we werent tottaly sure if they were sticking close or not

 

but there were a lot of smaller crafts out on the ocean maybe thats why
