arcadia entertainment

The best show is Circque Arcadia - don't miss that, we went to nearly all of the shows after dinner. One tip, to get a good seat, 'don't linger over the coffee and mints' at dinner. If there is a particular entertainer you want to see, don't be last to leave the restaurant..

We were a bit unlucky, as we had the same entertainers on our 2nd Arcadia cruise this June that were on on our 1st cruise the may before, in May 06, just bad luck for us, Mike Doyle, Hilary o'Neil etc.

A good talk is 'driving Arcadia' a power point slide show , usually conducted by a Officer, which explains the logistics of the ship, how much food is ordered, the kitchens, engine room and bridge , very good.

We had the jockey Richard Dunwoody on our cruise doing a lecture about his life as a grand national jockey.

Get out on deck and join in the shuffleboard, quoits, and whatever else is happening. No experience needed as it does not take much to learn how to throw a bit of rope, or hit a wooden disk! Great fun though: meet lots of people who are there to enjoy themselves in the "fresh" air, win prizes, and see the views at the same time! Look in your daily programme and go for it!! ;)
