British Colonial Hilton Hotel

After reading some of the observations of others with regard to this hotel, I still have a few questions as follows:

1. Does the hotel provide towels for the $15.00, day pass patrons?

2. Is the pool heated in February?

3. What is the approximate size of the pool?

4. Are both straight chairs and lounges provided?

Thank you,

Can anyone tell me if the beach at the British Colonial Hilton is netted?

No, beaches don't need to be netted .. sharks are rarely found near the beaches in the daytime. BCH beach is in the harbor. I've never heard of a shark sighting in the harbour.

Occasionally, a nurse shark or reef shark is spotted along Cabbage Beach, but it's a rarity. Lifeguards call for people to get out of the water til it swims by.. then back to normal. They don't normally attack humans.. but sometimes mistake humans for food in the early morning or late evenings when the waters are dark.

You'll see some beaches with float lines, these are to keep the jet ski's an boats from coming near the swimmer.

Thanks, Scubagirl and everyone else. I wasn't actually worried about sharks, just curious (as I have not yet visited the Bahamas) if netting is common practice at the resort hotels. I should have phrased my question better.
