parrotthead Posted August 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Ok, I was browsing thru the Cozumel Board and saw a post stating that the person was going to the "Tequilla Farm" Does anyone know about this? Where it is located/ is there a website/ an excrusion? I know there are some in other parts of Mexico, but was unaware of one in Cozumel Any help?
Nebr.cruiser Posted August 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2007 It's on the other side of the island and has a display and information on the growing of the agave plants and the making of tequila and you get a few tastes of different tequilas as well. Of course, tequila and a few souvineers are for sale. It reminded me (a little) of a winery tour. It was a nice side trip on our Dune Buggy tour, especially since it was pouring rain at the time, and it had bathrooms, but I certainly wouldn't plan a whole excursion around it. We saw a few plants growing; I don't know how extensive the 'farm' was. I also don't know if there are other tequila farms on Cozumel.
