atcsat64 Posted August 10, 2007 #27 Share Posted August 10, 2007 serious question here... are the pools heated? No, but bubbled...
voyagerfl Posted August 10, 2007 #28 Share Posted August 10, 2007 Generally you will find the pools in use....... The Carib. is always warm. However, Bahama's can have some cooler, breezy weather that time of year...it just depends. But I doubt the pool would ever be closed.
L2J Posted August 10, 2007 #29 Share Posted August 10, 2007 The climate in the Bahamas and the Caribbean is warm enough to swim all year round. Bahamas twice in February and both times I thought the water was freezing.
sydneyb Posted August 10, 2007 #30 Share Posted August 10, 2007 We went to the Bahamas this past Feb on the Sensation -- it was cold (60 degrees) and overcast every day but one the last day. The Bahamians all had jackets on and said how rare it was. The last day was in the 70s and sunny. There definitely were kids in the pool the entire cruise...the adults were too chicken :) Just the luck of the draw...
truecruiser Posted August 10, 2007 #31 Share Posted August 10, 2007 in feb we boarded elation from port canaveral. it was sooooooooo cold, we cld see our breath the night b/4 in disney and, the pools were open when we boarded the next morning. if the pool was closed for part of the time on your friend's cruise, it had to be for some reason other than cold weather. they close the slides w/ winds, i believe, but not the pool simply b/c it's cold on embarkation.
