gigman Posted August 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2007 Heard That You Could Order From The Main Dining Room Menu If You Are In A Ps Suite. Does That Mean Room Service Will Deliver Your Meal On A Course By Course Schedule And Is There A Charge Involved Or Just A Tip...?
vince_g Posted August 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2007 No charge except the tip for the room service waiter, and it is not course by course. They bring everything at once...
scmomofboys Posted August 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2007 We had a VS suite on the Coral and may I say we are now spoiled rotten! We never had dinner delivered, as we really enjoyed our wait staff in the dining room, but we had a full breakfast delivered every morning and ordered afternoon tea one day. Everything was always at the proper temperature, on time and we loved having breakfast in our cabin everyday. We also had canapés delivered every afternoon. The lunch and dinner menus were placed in our stateroom by our steward each day.

can786 Posted August 11, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2007 No tablecloth or anything. They just put the tray down on the table, had us sign and got their tip and left. Despite that we enjoyed being able to order off the dining room menu in our room.
jrw Posted August 11, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2007 We have booked a PS suite on the Aloha deck for the Crown 10/06 sailing. It will be so nice to enjoy the breakfast room service...and maybe a dinner on our balcony as well. Would appreciate any feedback on appropriate tipping for breakfast and for dinner. This will be new to us -- hubby's first cruise, my second -- and never had room service, so I want to be sure of what amounts are appropriate. Thanks :)
Toto2Kansas Posted August 11, 2007 #7 Share Posted August 11, 2007 In cabin dining when in a full suite is just the same as ordering from room service with more choices from the dining room menu. No coarse by coarse waiter service, no table cloth. They just deliver your food, all at once, just like you were ordering from the regular room service menu. If you want a coarse by coarse delivery for dinner, the only way is to pay for the Ultimate Balcony Dinner ($100 per couple) and then they will really do it up right. As for tipping for full meal service in a suite, anywhere from $5 to $10 depending on the meal and how much we ordered is what we tipped. They seemed quite pleased with that tip.
