Platinum status change middle of cruise

I currently have 4 cruise credits. I'm cruising again in April and staying in a JS which will get me another 2 credits giving me 6. So theoretically I will have 5 credits 1/2 way through the week.

 

I've read here that people have gone to the LA on board and gotten the next book and other benefits that go along.

 

Has anyone done this recently? I can wait for the platinum status but if C/A is willing to accommodate me then why not.

I recall people getting the next status on back to back cruises but not while on the cruise that will get them to the next status.

You don't get the credits until your cruise is over. If you were doing two cruises BTB then after the 1st cruise you would qualify for platinum status but not in your case.

The cruise credits are for completed cruises. You can always apply for platinum discount later the RCL with adjust your next cruise price even if it is already paid in full.

The situation you wrote about applies to me too. I already have 4 cruise credits and have my upcoming cruise booked in a JS.

 

Just think, we'll be that much closer to becoming Diamond!
