bnsilly Posted August 12, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2007 Hey guys..tried to search, but didn't find anything... What is the best mosquito repellent to use in the islands?? clerky96 Posted August 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2007 I have read that unless you are going to be on any of the islands around dusk, you will have little need for insect repellent. Most people are back on the ship before then. We went on a zipline last Feb, and didn't have any problems with bugs at all.

retire03 Posted August 14, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 14, 2007 I have heard good things about an Avon product called Skin-So-Soft. It is a sunscreen as well as, mosquito, flea & deer tick repellent- SPF 30. 4 oz tube. And it is waterproof. 1800-for-avon
fti Posted August 15, 2007 #7 Share Posted August 15, 2007 I use Repel and they come in various concentrations of DEET. I used 100% at Wonder Lake in Denali NP in Alaska (mosquito nets were also pretty much required there). That would probably be overkill in the Caribbean but 20-25% DEET is probably good.
