St. Louis Sal Posted August 24, 2007 #26 Share Posted August 24, 2007 Shay, we were wishing the same thing! We took our mini-dachshund with us (he has loved the trip) but it would have been great to drive up, leave Fritz with the perfect dog-sitter and do a round trip cruise and then back home. I couldn't even get my husband to do a 6 hour cruise on Prince William Sound because he didn't want to leave the dog that long. So I ended up doing a nine hour by myself. I still had a great time but it would have been more fun with him. There are just some things you can't do if you travel with a pup. St. Louis Sal p.s. Last night we were in Gering Nebraska during a pretty awesome storm-90 mile per hour winds. Our RV felt just like a HAL ship in really rough seas. photodoodle Posted August 24, 2007 #27 Share Posted August 24, 2007 So many people in Alaska seem to have dogs. There must be some reliable dog boarding services. A quick google turned up a bunch of links. It might be worth checking their references.
