happysails2U Posted August 24, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2004 Will be sailing soon on the Sensation, and trying to decide between the category 11 (suite) and category 12 (Presidential suite). I don't feel I need anything as grand as the Presidential, but it does enable us to view the outside scenery from the window area ,whereas the regular suite has the sofa seating on the other side near the door. Also the presidential has twin beds available, and the Suite only lists a double. Any personal experiences?- Happy trails
iluvdoxies Posted August 24, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2004 We have been in both and the cat 11 is not that big, really. Ans the balcony is a lot smaller than the cat 12 I'd go with the cat 12 if you are wanting a suite= you are right about the couch in the cat 12, it has the couch which is l shaped right by the windows and then 2 chairs and a table across from the couch. The cat 11 has a small couch and very small balcony. Good luck!
marcyjane Posted August 25, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2004 We had Cat. 12 on Sensation May 2003, it's nice, but is not what I would say is Presidential, that suite is where the Captain's family or special quest or CEO's get. We ask our steward what the difference was and that's what they tolds us. As well it is huge and no where near like the regular Cat. 12's. But, if you get that Suite, please come back and tell us all cruise critics all about it. Hope this helps.
