How is cozmel sence the storms?

Worst damage seems to be the 100 yards of beachfront road that got wiped out on the east side of the island. They are rapidly repairing it now and the cab drivers seem to think it'll be passable within 2 weeks. Other than that, I haven't heard of any damage, all the tours are up and running as normal as are the beach clubs etc.

The eye of Dean passed about 130 miles to the south of us, so what we got was basically a long thunderstorm punctuated with the occasional 50MPH wind gust as the rainbands swept through. Cozumel is open for business and was basically untouched so, no worries...c'mon down!:)
