kathyh5185 Posted September 1, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2007 yes they have put her there because of the APEC summit and sydney is in lock down. unfortunantly they dont get to go under the Harbour Bridge:(. i have some customers from work going on this cruise and they have been told it is leaving from circular Quay kathy
i_love_cruising Posted September 1, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2007 I watched her come in and I got quite a surprise when I saw her turning into the International Terminal. I watched on The Rocks webcam as well which was very spectacular. The cruises I have been on have always left from there so our cruise in February will be a new experience as the Pacific Dawn will be leaving from Darling Harbour. FAIRLIGHTCRUISERS Posted September 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2007 Hi cruisers! The pacific sun will also dock at the Overseas Terminal[sounds more 'posh' the Whalf 8 eh?]when it returns on the 11th.Brian
MsMinx Posted September 3, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 3, 2007 Anyone know why the Sun left so late yesterday? The P&O website had her departing at 4pm but it was closer to 6:30 when she finally pulled away. It was lovely to see her leave from a different view though :)
aussie down under Posted September 3, 2007 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2007 Hi Jo, We were on the cruise that docked at circular quay yesterday morning. We didn't disembark until 12.30 and there was still 2 groups to go after us. I believe the disembarking process was delayed due to tighter security, the ship was not allowed to dock for some time,(later than expected), all due to APEC. I know quite a few people missed their flights, thankfully we were not one of these. Regards, Michele:)
MsMinx Posted September 3, 2007 #7 Share Posted September 3, 2007 Welcome back Michele :) Hope you had a wonderful time :) That's a bit rough that they wouldn't allow people with flights booked off the ship asap! It must be crazy in Sydney at the moment! I don't envy it!
