Sally1J Posted September 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2007 Hi All, I am not a regular poster, more of a lurker but I wondered if I could ask a question?!?! My parents are just back from Voyager and we are due on the 8th September sailing. They inform me that dinner is now 3 courses and the salad course has been dropped. This was possibly one of my favorite course (yes I know I am sad) Can anyone confirm this? Many Thanks In Advance.
brn2crz Posted September 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2007 Nope, cant confirm it...I don't think that is something they would do just one one ship???? Does not really make sense anyway...Theres only 2 salads usually to choose from..the Ceasar and whatever the other is????? I don't know, maybe I am wrong.....Usually not focused on the salads lol
cb at sea Posted September 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2007 They still offer salad, but as a "soup/salad" choice. It's not it's own "course" anymore. So, you can still get your raw veggies!
Sally1J Posted September 4, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted September 4, 2007 Wow! That was quick, Thanks! I wonder why they dropped it from last weeks sailing then? I hope it was a one off. For all you foodies out there, how quick do I need to get in and book Portofinos after boarding? Thanks again:)
Sue L Posted September 4, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2007 The soups and salads are all offered but more of a group listing rather then a separate course. You can order more than one though, so we order our soup and our salad and never a problem.
nanfromatlanta Posted September 4, 2007 #6 Share Posted September 4, 2007 For all you foodies out there, how quick do I need to get in and book Portofinos after boarding? Thanks again:) As long as you go to Portofino sometime before the evening of the first day, you should be OK.
gaiamother Posted September 4, 2007 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2007 Yes, agree with above, they are just listed together and you can still order one of each soup and salad! I would make a ressie as soon as possible for any specialty restaurant. T
