What kind of soap & shampoo on RCI??

I would assume you had some type of allergy or sensative skin by asking this, so I would suggest you bring your own to be on the safe side. Just be sure to pack it in one of those "ziploc bags."

I can tolerate the soap, but don't really care for the shampoo. Bring your favorite brands and don't forget the conditioner:)

The shampoo was sometype of 2 in 1. I always bring my own but I did try it on the Navigator. It made my hair unmanageable. Just my opinion, but I would bring my own.

i don't know the brand but it is not good. i always bring my own after that one time i had to shop on the island to get something that didn't make my hair horrid.

It was something generic - no "brand". I brought my own so had no need to use theirs.

The shampoo in the suites was OK, but the slab-o-soap was the pits. The sliver is so small that it is hard to get a decent lather. I purchased a traveling kit one Christmas time when all that sort of giftie stuff was out. It holds just enough soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion etc. I refill after every cruise and never have to worry about the stuff that comes in that pump on the wall.

I always take my own and let me husband use the stuff on the wall (hey his hair is only and 1/8" of an inch.)

 

I find that most hotels, ships, etc use cheap 2 in 1 and that doesn't work for my hair.

I bring my own. I like triple milled soaps that lather well and smell nice. I bought a box of 36 small travel soaps in 4 different scents from Chambers catalog and usually bring a couple of those for the sink and the shower. Or I will bring the small bars from Crabtree & Evelyn of my favorite scent, Nantucket Briar.

In the suites, there are RCI brand "Explorae" full size bath products. I personally like them very much -- I believe the shampoo is better than that from the dispenser (although this was several years back).

The blue liquid soap in the large showers in the mens locker room in the Mariner"s ShipShape Spa was wonderful. I would like to purchase some if any one knows the brand.

whenever i go on vacation (granted, this is my first cruise) i always bring my own. never rely on hotel/cruise shampoo/conditioner/soaps, because you don't want to end up miserable because it did a number on your hair.

Explorae...that's it! My friend loves the bath gel and my husband used the shampoo. I didn't care for it, but don't think it would be strong enough to hurt the skin.
