all inclusive in Antigua??

Hi, we will be in Antigua in January on the Crown, and were thinking of doing a beach day. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good all inclusive resort that has some good beach activities?

Wife and I are booked for the Grand Royal Anthiguan Beach resort for the 30 Nov. CCL Destiny for 60 pp day pass from 10:00 to 6:00 pm

My group is booking the Jolly Beach from 10 AM on. The Jolly was featured in last month's Caribbean Travel and Life.

Do they provide trans? I think the taxis are pretty cheap on Ant. anyway. How far is the ride?

We received a flyer from Anthea, a reservations agent at Jolly Beach (reservations@jollybeachresort.com).

 

We can have contintental breakfast, lunch, their beach, pool and non-motorized water sports for $60 per adult. We have access to their facility from 10:15 till 5 PM for that rate.

 

A previous poster paid $6 per person for a cab from the pier and it took about 15 minutes.

 

It looks great on the website and in the magazine.

Thank you. We have friends that stayed there in April I believe and they loved it. I think you can also go to Castaway Beach which is adjacent to Jolly Beach Resort, but obviously not use their facilities. That might be a good idea to do. Thanks again for the info.

Will you provide a report on both the cab ride and the experience if you do choose to do Jolly Beach Resort?

Yes, we will let you know what we decide. We have been to Runaway and I think the cabbie brought us to "his" favorite area. Way at the end of the beach. Not my scene. I want more action and people watch too.

We will be on the Crown in April, 2008. Planning on GPBR, but intrested in what you think of Jolly Beach resort and also Grand Royal Antiguan Beach.

Do you have a website for the Royal Antiguan.
