New Engl/Canada With Teenagers on Explorer/July 08

We are taking two teenage boys on the Explorer of the Seas next July. The ports are New London, Halifax, St. John (Bay of Fundy) Bar Harbor, Portland and Boston. Looking for some fun/adventurous excursions. Any ideas?

We sailed to Boston, Bar Harbor and Halifax in July of 2005 on RCCL with two teenage boys. We did not do anything adventurous, but the boys loved the Duck Tour and I highly recommend it, if you have never been to Boston: http://www.bostonducktours.com/

 

Bar Harbor might be a good port to try a whale watch, if no one is prone to sea sickness. These tours are hit or miss, because there can be dense fog.

 

We went to Peggy's Cove in Halifax, which is a bit of a ride but is quite beautiful. The waterfront and boardwalk is a nice area and is right by where the ship docks - we walked this area after our excursion.

we just came back from grandeur of seas last month with 14 and 9 year old boys... we did not do much adventure, but we had a blast! they do have kayaking and biking trips, etc... if u look under the shore excursions.

 

we booked a trolley tour in portland, did a boat excursion in bar harbor, on our own with a guy who goes underwater and pulls up sea creatures and everyone gets to hold them, did the uss constitution in boston and quincy market, and did the harbour hopper in halifax...it was a nice itinerary and the weather was beautiful!:)
