Kitt Grey Posted September 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2007 While I am generally healthy this summer I broke my clavicle near the shoulder and it has left me with some upper arm weakness especially over hand use. This is slowly going away but may still be a factor in Nov when I cruise. I was so looking forward to the Canopy Adventure but am begining to worry that it might be to hard on my shoulder. How physical is it? It also calls for a 30 min hike uphill does anyone know how far this is, or how steep the hill?
packedandready Posted September 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2007 We did the zip a couple of years ago and loved it. As for as your shoulder.....one hand is on the pulley about head level used to hold yourself forward and the other is higher on the zip line itself for braking. So if holding at those levels with pressure causes pain then you might have a problem. The hike was a little rough and steep (down hill, if I remember right). zantedeschia Posted September 21, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2007 The walk was about 15 minutes downhill on a crude trail. It's on a mountainside, I was figuring we lost at least 1000' in elevation. You will definitely need use of your arms, it's pretty active.
