Patgo Posted August 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2004 Hi, Can anyone tell me anything about the new weight watchers core program. No points no counting. What can you eat? I am wondering if it is a low carb plan or what. any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Pat
roohound Posted August 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2004 it is not a low carb plan...it's basically a no processed foods plan. With a few exceptions, you can eat the following foods until you're satisfied: lean meats fruits veggies fat free dairy products grains whole wheat pasta products, brown rice, and potatoes you can have at one meal a day...that's the big restriction. If you want other foods that aren't on the Core master list..you have 35 points to use for them The forums on the WW board have a lot of info if you do some searching around :)

roohound Posted August 27, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2004 Yep :) I just started on Tuesday (have a Monday evening weigh in) so we shall see how this first week goes. Also, there's a yahoo group that's been set up as well for this and there's a lot of info there. You can view the messages without joining, but if you join the group, you have access to the files that show a lot more Core info concentrated in one place: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/wwcoreplan/
