Depends on the ship. Whenever I get on the mariner, I head up to the pool bar to find out who my bartenders are for the week. Then I go around and say hello to all my friends that work on the ship then I usually head to the windjammer for something to eat.

But on other ships where i dont know the staff I will usually head to the windjammer since I still have my carryon and dont feel like lugging it around

We will head to the Windjammer for something to eat, then check the dining room assignment, then I will head to the pool while my DW goes to the casino to stake out her "lucky" machine - funny how that works, it is lucky as long as she isn't playing it!!

Breathe a sigh of relief that I am now on my honeymoon which means no more wedding planning :)

I know exactly how you feel!

I can't wait for my wedding to be over with so I can go on the cruise!

We will probably walk around the ship and figure out where everything is. (drink in hand of course!) Then probably some lunch in the WJ and then we'll check out our room once it is open. We are staying in Fort Lauderdale for 2 days before the cruise so I don't plan on having a big carry on to lug around. I'll probably just wear something comfy with my swim suit underneath so we can lay around by the pool after checking out the room. We will probably want to be by the pool for sailaway but we are getting the champagne and chocolate covered strawberries so maybe we will just sit out on our balcony and enjoy those.

Of course since neither of us has been on a cruise before this is all just speculation because we really have no clue what to expect once we get on the ship! We might just stand there with our mouths wide open in awe!

first thing i'm going to do is get a DRINK , change into my bathing suit and get another drink LOL

then sit back and enjoy my week :-)

Go make hair appointments (for the formal nights), and a reservation for Chops or Portofinos for me and DH - go to my room and dump off everything I don't need, THEN go get a drink and enjoy sailaway.

Get to the port early (swimsuit on under clothing). Eat as soon as Windjammer opens, head to pool- sm. carry on by our sides. Take off clothes, swim, have a drink, lay out 1-2 hours - head to room to see if it's ready. Make reservations for Portifinos/Chops. Could care less where I sit or who I sit with in the dining room. I adore meeting people. It's 3pm, what activity is there? Do one , get dressed for dinner, muster and eat first seating. We hit the ship running! We totally avoid the pool on sea days, so much more to do! Great day for shipshape bucks! We end up needing a vacation after our vacation!lol We are getting very good at "we really can do it all" planning. We aren't relaxing until at least day 2, that's just how we roll......

I usually head up to my room and see if my smuggled booze has arrived.

If it has, then I head to the buffet for some bait, go back to the stateroom, pour myself a big glass of rot gut vodka, pull out my portable fishing pole and do some fishing off the balcony. Breakfast sausage and roast beef work pretty good for bait :)

If my smuggled booze hasn't arrived yet then I usually head to the pool bar and BUY several drinks there and stare at all of the pale people laying in the sun turning red :D

Honeymoon Cruise for me too! I'm not going crazy with planning or anything, but I will be real glad to be on the ship b/c we'll be getting little or no sleep the night before from our wedding... mainly because its a Saturday night wedding and our flight will be leaving at 7 in the morning on Sunday to get to the Mariner. I'm sure I'd like to sleep as soon as I get on, but I think I'll be too excited. We'll probably grab some lunch at Windjammer and a couple of drinks, then head back to the room where I hope to surprise my fiance well by then my husband with chocolate coverd strawberries and champage. Since we'll be in the room then who knows what we'll do.... but I definately plan on trying to get to the pool to lay out in the sun and nap!!!!

The first thing I do when I board the ship is to keep walking, that way I am not blocking the gangway. Then I continue walking to my cabin, drop off my carry-on, and then tour the ship and take pictures. Once I am done with that I go for lunch, then relax until the muster drill.

I like the drink answer!!

as soon as you walk in the Windjammer to have lunch they have those

awesome frozen drink concoctions.....

then go make a SPA appointment.... then check out the ship..

then get your bathing suit on and get more frozen drinks

at the pool!!

I'll get my soda card, put extra cash on my seapass account, go to lunch, grab a drink, drop off my carryon, change into my swim wear, grab another drink, hit the pool till muster time, grab a drink for sail away, head to dinner, grab another drink...and not answer my cell phone until I return:D
