Flavor of Barbados through Carnival...good idea?

HI my soon to be wife and I are going it alone in October for all tours except the Flavor of Barbados tour through Carnival which goes to a Plantation, tours the south side of Barbados, and finishes up with a Mahogany sculpting factory.....has anyone been on a similar tour? I hear alot of negative about cruise organized tours and this is why on the other four ports we are doing the independant thing.....so if anyone has any feedback on Carnival organized tours or this one specifically I'd appreciate it

Is it possible when you get back from your trip, could you write your thoughts of this tour. We (DH & I) are on the same tour thru NCL in December.
