Question about Microtel Anchorage

For those who stayed at the Microtel:

How is the noise situation from the airport and/or the Lake Hood floatplane area?

Did you have any noise problems during the night? during the day?

I haven't stayed at the Microtel, but have stayed at others in the area, and was not bothered by airplane noise at night.

I live on the flight path for the east/west runway, which is where the Microtel is too. Float planes really never and occasionally I'll have the big planes and some of the turbo props but they usually try to have them land and takeoff from the North/South or land from the West, so I'd say you'd be fine.

 

Though I'd say if you're not going to have a car, it would be a bit of a walk to get anywhere for food.
