prepaid onboard credit????

We will be sailing on Sapphire Princess July 2008. This is our first ever cruise so I am learning a lot from this site. I am wondering about onboard credits...Is it possible to put money into an onboard credit ahead of time so that when you are on the ship you already have some credit there. Kind of a savings account for foo foo drinks etc.

Yes, it absolutely is possible to do this. I believe your travel agent can handle it for you, or you can call Princess directly. I've never done it (although it's a great idea: as a savings account for froo-froo drinks, love it!), so I'm not sure exactly whom to call first, TA or Princess, but it is definitely doable. Have a great first cruise!
