Air Conditioning on Pride of America

We are leaving for our 1st trip to Hawaii on the 26th of Sept, cruising on the Pride of Am on the 29th. I have read on these boards that the dining areas are kept pretty cool on the ship. Is that true for the Staterooms also? Can we regulate our own room temperature? I prefer to just open my slider to the balcony than to have air conditioning which always gives me a cold.

While the public rooms are very cold you have a temperature control in your stateroom that can be put up or down. We usually just left it on the middle setting and it was comfortable. I didn't feel any noticeable AC.

I actually don't think I noticed the AC at all in public rooms, which I take to be a good sign! We could regulate it in our stateroom.
