Best Snorkeling?

Hello we will be in both St Thomas and St Marteen this December on a Holiday Cruise. This will be my husbands first time in the Caribbean and he would love to do some snorkeling... Can someone please tell me the best beaches or clearest areas for this activity? I want him to fall in love with the caribbean so we can go back often! ;) Also we are interested in a 1/2 day snokel/sail and or boating excursion, any recommendations? Thanks in advance. I love these boards!

On St. Thomas you can find good snorkeling from the beach at Coki Beach, Sapphire, Cowpet and Secret Harbor. Daysails usually stop at snorkeling spots so keep that in mind and ask about it when making your daysail plans.
